Questions

Frequently asked

Does the guest need to install anything?

No. The tip page opens in the phone browser straight from the camera. Apple Pay and Google Pay work out of the box.

How does Tipsy make money?

A small fee on each tip, shown before payment. The guest can tick a box to cover it so the person receives the full amount. Venues and staff never pay a subscription.

When do staff receive their tips?

Payouts go straight to each person’s bank account through Stripe, normally within a few business days. Each person can see the status in their staff page.

Do tips count as income for tax?

In Lithuania tips are personal income and subject to GPM. Tipsy gives each person a monthly summary they can use for their declaration. We do not withhold tax.

How do Google reviews work?

After tipping, the guest rates the service and sees a one-tap link to your Google review page. We show the link to every guest, because Google does not allow asking only happy customers. The star rating also goes privately to the manager. Google does not let any app post a review for a guest, so the guest writes it themselves.

Why is signing up by request?

We check every venue before switching on payouts. This keeps fraud away from real teams. You fill in a short form and we send a registration link with your details already filled in.

Who operates Tipsy?

Tipsy is operated by MB „Pirknet“, company code 307134581, registered in Vilnius, Lithuania. Card payments are processed by Stripe.

Give your team the tips guests already want to leave.

Tell us about your venue. We will send a registration link within one business day, with your cards ready to print.
